As part of the Youth Eco Academy activity held in Popova Shapka, participants took part in a meaningful plogging action, combining physical activity with environmental protection. During this activity, young participants actively cleaned parts of Popova Shapka, collecting a significant amount of waste and sending a strong message about the importance of caring for nature.

The activity served as a practical example of how young people can turn awareness into action. Through their efforts, the participants showed that environmental protection begins with personal responsibility and community engagement, while also inspiring others to take better care of shared natural spaces.

The plogging action was organized during the same weekend as the nationwide Generalka Weekend clean-up campaign, when citizens across the country took part in similar environmental actions. The fact that the President also joined a clean-up action in Skopje gave additional visibility and importance to the message of collective responsibility for a cleaner and healthier environment.

The participants of Youth Eco Academy sent a clear message that young people are ready to lead by example and contribute to positive change in their communities. Their action in Popova Shapka highlighted the importance of environmental protection, solidarity, and everyday sustainable practices.
